Due Soprani e Une Tenore
November 9, 2025

Due Soprani e Une Tenore

Due Soprani e Un Tenore delivered an exhilarating afternoon of vocal fireworks, wit, and theatrical charm at Lenfell Hall. The program sparkled with playful rivalry and romance as sopranos Abby Brodnick and Kelsey Robertson met tenor Charles Calotta in a spirited journey from Mozart and Bizet to beloved Broadway classics. Highlights from Così fan tutte and Carmen crackled with chemistry, while Calotta’s lyrical tenor and the sopranos’ contrasting colors kept the dramatic tension alive throughout.

Cellist Alonso Restrepo added elegance and warmth, and narrator Mariana Karpatova guided the audience with engaging flair. Under the sensitive accompaniment of Artistic Director Mary Pinto, the ensemble moved seamlessly from soaring Operatic arias to heartfelt musical theater moments, culminating in a rousing, crowd-pleasing finale. The concert was a vivid reminder of the joy, humor, and emotional sweep that live Opera can bring.
